Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Invoice Investigator.

Effective September 17, 2026 · Last updated October 21, 2026

1. Who provides the service

Invoice Investigator is provided by Kovra Pay Inc., a Delaware corporation doing business as Layer 5 Labs, at 1100 Roseville Parkway, Suite 1218, Roseville, California 95678. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. What the service does

Invoice Investigator provides AI-assisted document analysis that compares an invoice against documents you supply. Findings describe what the submitted documents do and do not support. A finding is not an accusation of wrongdoing by any vendor.

The service may produce audit findings, calculations, reports and draft correspondence. It does not send messages to vendors for you.

3. No professional advice

Invoice Investigator is not a law firm, accounting firm, tax adviser, auditor of record, or a substitute for professional review. You are responsible for decisions made using the output, including any payment you make or withhold and any communication you send.

4. Accuracy and review

Analysis depends entirely on the completeness, relevance and legibility of the documents you supply. Missing or illegible documents can change the results. We do not promise that every discrepancy will be identified or that every reported difference is an error.

All dollar figures reported as calculations are recalculated by the application and shown with their formulas. You should verify the source documents, findings and calculations before acting, especially before contacting a vendor.

5. Plans, fair use and billing

Single Audit costs $9.99 as a one-time purchase and includes one audit credit. The credit is consumed when analysis begins and is returned automatically if our system fails.

Small Business costs $39.99 per month and includes up to 50 invoices checked per billing period. Gas Station Unlimited costs $129 per month and includes unlimited invoice uploads, subject to a fair-use ceiling of 600 invoices checked per month. Enterprise Unlimited costs $499.99 per month and includes unlimited invoice uploads subject to a fair-use ceiling of 2,500 invoices checked per month, with batch uploads, team members and consolidated reporting. Fuel auditing is available on every paid plan; the plans differ by volume, not by capability.

An invoice checked means one audit that actually ran. Supporting documents attached to an audit, and vendor reference documents stored in your workspace, do not count toward an allowance however many you attach. Re-running an existing audit does not count again. If you reach a plan allowance, the invoice waits and you may upgrade or buy a single audit; we never charge for extra invoices automatically.

Fair use includes concurrency, file-size and page limits, duplicate-file detection, the 600-invoice monthly ceiling on Gas Station Unlimited, and the 2,500-invoice monthly ceiling on Enterprise Unlimited. If usage is unusual, we will send a courteous notice and review it with you before applying a restriction; we do not silently suspend an account for fair-use concerns.

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. We may change prices on at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Refunds

Unused Single Audit credits are refundable on request within 30 days of purchase, including a credit bought to finish a month after a plan allowance was reached. Subscription charges are not prorated. If the service fails to produce a completed audit, we will return the credit and refund that purchase. Email support@invoiceinvestigator.com to request a refund.

7. Acceptable use

You must have the right to upload and analyze every document you submit. Do not use the service unlawfully, attempt to defeat its security, resell access without our written permission, or upload another person's personal data beyond what appears on the invoices and related documents being reviewed.

You are responsible for your account credentials, activity in your workspace, and the people you invite to it.

8. Your data

You own your documents and your audit results. You give us a limited license to store, copy and process them only as needed to operate the service, provide support, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.

Uploaded invoices and supporting documents remain subject to the 30-day retention period described in our Privacy Policy. Vendor reference documents remain until you delete them. You may request account deletion from Account settings.

9. Availability

The service is provided as available, without an uptime guarantee. Scheduled and unscheduled downtime may occur. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice when a material change affects a paid plan where practical.

10. Ending use of the service

You may cancel a subscription or request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms, unlawful use, a security threat, or nonpayment, and will give notice when reasonably possible.

After termination, the 30-day document-retention period still applies unless you delete documents sooner or we must preserve information by law. Account deletion is available on request through Account settings.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kovra Pay Inc.'s total liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim or $100.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost savings, lost data, or amounts paid or withheld. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

12. Disputes and governing law

Before filing a claim, you and Kovra Pay Inc. agree to try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. Send a written description to support@invoiceinvestigator.com.

California law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any court proceeding must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Placer County, California. These terms do not require arbitration and do not waive the right to participate in a class action where that right applies.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised terms here and update the Last updated date. If a change materially affects an existing paid plan, we will notify account holders by email or through the service before it takes effect.
